Come and laugh cheer and enjoy some outrages sketches, mime, comedy and whatever the evening produces with us. No more boring stuff, because remember the artists are not only depicting a character or but also competing for a weekly cash prize of R1000,00 and as a bonus Detour will also be giving away R500.00 Cash for the best costume of that evening. So effort is defiantly rewarded.
HOW DOES THE CONTEST WORK?
It’s almost like America has talent, the circus and idols combined LOTS OF FUN We are looking for fresh new talent that Gauteng has to offer. Any person may enter, whether you are male, female, in drag as Queen or King, Straight gay or anything else in-between. You may be serious, funny, live, or show off a special skill. Remember the crowd want to be entertained, so you may choose any kind of act that you wish, even strip if you like, it is really all up to you. You may enter as a group or solo, should you be a group or team the prize money will be handed to your group leader to be split amongst the team. The art of drag is still a favourite and we will appreciate a lot of new contributions from old and new queens alike, GIRLS MAKE US PROUD! And for those of you that always knew deep inside you were born to be a Star, this is your chance to show us what you got, and perhaps even walk away with the R1000 cash prize.
All Contestants must report with their own music backtrack and/or props no later than 21:30 on the chosen Saturday night. Unfortunately, due to technical preparation time needed to prepare the show with all the various contributor/contestants music backtracks etc. No late entrees will be accepted. So even if you never wanted to drag, perform or join a troop this is your chance to stand out, and be a Star!!
